Autosport International Show – The Directors of leading high performance drivetrain manufacturer RT Quaife Engineering Ltd were delighted to receive a scheduled visit last week from The Right Honourable Mr Michael Fallon MP, Minister of State for Business and Enterprise.
Mr Fallon was visiting the UK’s NEC based Autosport International Show on Thursday 9th January as part of a Motorsport Industry Association review of this strategically important UK sector. As such, Quaife was identified as being particularly relevant because nearly fifty years since it was first established the firm continues to maintain its status as a global leader in this specialist field, plus it is headquartered in the Minister’s Sevenoaks constituency.
Today Quaife boasts 76 dealers in 27 countries worldwide and over 70% of its product is destined for export, highlighting that with suitable specialist skills backed by ongoing long-term capital investment British companies can produce precision engineered components that set standards for quality, value and performance.
“I am particularly proud that the achievements of all the staff at Quaife Engineering have been recognised by the Minister of State for Business and Enterprise,” said Quaife Director Sharon Quaife-Hobbs. “Since Quaife Engineering was founded by our father Rodney Quaife in 1965 he and then my brother Michael and I have continually placed great emphasis on highly trained employees, forward capital investment and ongoing new product development. Although this has been challenging at times due to various changes of government policy over the years, Quaife’s consistent approach has reaped dividends in the long term and we were pleased to be able to share some of positive experiences with the Minister,” she continues.
