Junior Quality Inspector
Are you interested in Quality, with experience of reading engineering drawings and measuring parts/components? Do you want to work within the Engineering sector?
In this role you will spend most of your time based on the shop floor, ensuring the components produced are of the highest quality and correct to customer specifications. You will carry out conformance tests and assist with the ISO 9001 standards.
This opportunity would suit a someone looking to join a company that can offer technical development, progression, and the chance to work with top of the range measuring machinery in an expanding business.
The role will consist of:
- Reporting to the Quality Manager
- Working with CMM tools
- Supporting standards for ISO 9001
- Checking products against customer/Internal specifications
- Creating & updating Visual Aids
- Carrying out shop floor patrol inspections
- Working 8am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8am-3:30pm Friday
The successful candidate:
- Ability to read engineering drawings desired but not required
- Experience of using measuring equipment: Vernier calipers etc. desired but not required
- Ability to complete documentation accurately and on time
- A Self-motivated, positive, and flexible attitude
Full on-site training will be provided for this role.
Caretaker / Yard Person
We are currently seeking two energetic and highly motivated individuals to join our teams at both our Sevenoaks and Gillingham sites as our Caretaker / Yard Person.
The ideal candidates for this position should be detail oriented, flexible, and willing to take on all tasks as the need arises. You will be responsible for the general upkeep of the whole site including the machine shop floor, offices, and restrooms, keeping them clean, tidy, and free from debris. You would also be expected to use the fork lift truck so you must hold a current competency certificate or licence.
The job role will consist of but is not limited to;
General up keep of the site both in and around the building.
Manage the routine upkeep of the exterior areas such as the stockyard, car park, and the green areas.
Remove rubbish and recycling daily and prepare the bins for collection.
Handle emergency cleaning situations and upkeep requests.
Ensure the canteen, washing area, and toilets are maintained and fully equipped.
Use the fork lift truck to empty the waste metal bins.
Whilst previous experience would be an advantage, on the job training will be given, however, you will need to work well under minimum supervision and, although a cleaning schedule will be provided, you will also on occasions be expected to use your initiative should an issue arise.
Night Shift CNC Turner – Programmer / Setter / Operator
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced, preferably time served, CNC turning programmer / setter / operator to join our night shift turning team, working predominantly from our Gillingham site.
You should be fully conversant in Fanuc or an equivalent G Code system, and be capable of programming at the machine, and setting a part from drawing.
CAD/CAM experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
An excellent understanding of materials, tooling, cutting speeds and feeds is essential. A high standard of quality is expected from all of our staff, as is the ability to work efficiently and to close tolerances.
This position is available for an immediate start. Salary is dependent on experience.

We are looking for an experienced, preferably time served, CNC Milling Programmer / Setter / Operator for our vertical machining centres based predominantly at our Sevenoaks site.
The applicant should be fully conversant in Fanuc, and be capable of programming and setting a part from drawing. A good knowledge of fixture design and work holding is required, as the majority of jobs are recurring, and need to be ”operator friendly”.
An excellent understanding of materials, tooling, cutting speeds and feeds is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently and to close tolerances.
A high standard of quality is expected from all of our staff.
