With the ever growing demand for shorter lead times and growing demand for new products Quaife continues to invest heavily in new machines. The newest additon is our new Liebherr LSE 380 helical gear shaper placed in our largest building in Sevenoaks, as a new annex to our main factory, to house the machine.

With this new machine there are a number advantages listed below:
- Fast machining and rapid retooling thanks to integrated loading and unloading function with Liebherr ring loader
- Can cut involute and non-involute external and internal teeth, as well as straight and helical gear teeth
- High-precision diagonal control for angle corrections in µm range
- Maximum flexibility and rapid retooling thanks to electronic diagonal control
- Machining of spur gears and shafts possible on a single machine
- Maximum flexibility for shaping helical and straight internal and external teeth without mechanical retooling
- Dry machining possible thanks to innovative hydrostatic seal concept
- SGA machining of crankshafts possible (shaping with crossed axes)
- Asymmetric flank production at the touch of a button
- Many automation options for each application (depending on tool range, batch size etc.) to increase productivity
