For saloon car use Quaife Engineering offers a large range of replacement gearboxes for rear wheel drive, front wheel and four wheel drive fitments.

Quaife produces a wide variety of in-line gearboxes for rear wheel drive applications, covering power outputs up to 700bhp. Ford compliant units form the core of the range, including the popular 60G six speed sequential transmission, which is a direct replacement for the Type 9 gearbox found originally in the Sierra.

For high power endurance racing use Quaife’s new 69G six speed sequential gearbox is rated to 750bhp plus. Designed for Dodge Viper fitments, adaptor bellhousings are available for other installations.

Lower power rear wheel drive applications are catered for with Quaife’s popular and well proven Rocket and Type 9 (Sierra) dog engagement gearboxes, which are directly interchangeable with the original Ford units.

Quaife also produces of transaxle gearboxes designed to suit sportscar applications. These include the 61G sequential gearbox for the Porsche 996 and the 62G, which is a direct replacement for the ZF DS-25/2 unit on the iconic Ford GT40.

For front wheel drive applications Quaife offers a choice of the 32G and 34G six speed sequential units as well as model specific gearboxes for the Fiesta ST150 and Lotus Elise.
