The demands of motorsport place a very different set of requirements upon a car’s steering than the original designers intended, which is why Quaife Engineering has produced a range of steering upgrades intended for motorsport use.

3D CAD designed using the very latest FEA techniques to ensure the optimum balance of weight, strength and performance, Quaife steering components are designed to enhance steering feel and reduce the amount of driver input required for motorsport use.

For production based vehicles Quaife has created a range of ‘quick rack’ and pinion kits, covering applications including the Ford Escort, Honda Civic, Mini, Peugeot 205, Porsche 911, Vauxhall Nova and VW Golf. In addition, Quaife Engineering offers complete Quick rack assemblies for the Mini and Mk1 / Mk2 Escort – there’s also a heavy duty version available for the latter.

For single seater applications, Quaife is pleased to offer a universal steering column assembly, which features a variety of adjustment to suit any fitment, allied to excellent crash protection via a safety collapse system. Complete central quick racks and bevel gear racks are also available to suit individual customer requirements.
