High performance transmission specialist Quaife Engineering Ltd is delighted to announce the launch of a new Automatic Torque Biasing differential current VAG models using the innovative DSG six speed semi-automatic gearbox.

Quaife ATB differentials are well proven in all forms of motorsport and fast road use and the new DSG differential uses this refined design to minimize wheelspin and provide maximum traction, without some of the unpleasant side effects of a traditional plate-style unit.

The progressive nature of the Quaife ATB enhances the dynamic driving experience, enabling drivers to accelerate earlier and delaying the activation of electronic stability control systems. The Quaife ATB assists in reducing understeer during cornering, as well as helping to stabilize the car under heavy braking.

Recent back to back tests with a 350bhp 1300 kilo front wheel drive hot hatch proved the value of the Quaife ATB unit, reducing the       0-100mph time by 1.4 seconds and shaving 0.3 seconds from the 0-60mph sprint.

A direct replacement for the standard VAG DSG open differential, the Quaife ATB's gear operated design makes it durable to withstand high shock loadings and large power outputs and is proven to over 1000bhp in drag racing use. Indeed such is Quaife's confidence in the unit the ATB comes complete with a lifetime warranty.
