Research and Development

Quaife Engineering has a dedicated research and development department that is responsible for handling new projects.

Quaife typically work with two different types of new research and development projects. These are either:
- Quaife-conceived products
- Customer requested products

Quaife-conceived products would typically be in the form of a new gearbox, for example. However, these projects will also tend to be any new product that is designed to tap an existing market.

Customer-requested products will tend to be a new ATB Helical LSD differential application, where we have received a quantity order for Quaife diff units. This would also include a product such as a steering quick rack and pinion kit.

With a store room full of products waiting for us to work on, there is an almost constant flow of new Quaife products being developed.

Whilst Quaife try to satisfy demand for new products, we do always ask for quantity orders which will make the research and development a financially-viable project for both parties. However, at times, we will also consider requests for one-off parts on a made-to-order basis.

Together with this constant cycle of developing new products, Quaife are continually looking for the best material from which to manufacture the parts.
