Quaife-Hobbs Steps Down From T-Cars After Final Victory

The 15 year-old BRDC Rising Star, became the youngest ever winner of an MSA sanctioned car racing championship, when, at 14 years and 8 months old he clinched the junior one-make saloon car title last season.

After a fire at Knockhill, which completely destroyed the PR Motorsport car, he has decided to concentrate on testing a variety of cars before deciding on his plans for 2007. The youngster, who nevertheless won last time out at Rockingham, is still too young to compete in all classes of senior motorsport, his 16th birthday not due until next February.

Now, Adrian will be able to fully focus on his 2007 season.

“I've enjoyed racing in T Cars,” said Adrian. “But I don't really feel I can learn any more. I've taken advice from a lot of very experienced motorsport professionals who all agree that I'd be better off looking towards the future. There are a lot of things I'd like to try in both single-seaters and saloons and I'm looking forward to getting out there and trying them all.”

Adrian's parents are 100% behind his decision and will now focus their attention on a number of options for next year.

“T-Cars has been a good start to Adrian's career, and now we look forward to the future,” said Sharon Quaife-Hobbs. “There are still not that many options open to him at the moment due to his young age, however we hope to soon be in a position to announce where and what he will be racing next season.”
