Ford Rocket (Type E) short tailcase 4-speed heavy duty synchromesh Quaife gearbox with alloy maincase and gear lever is available to fit Ford Escort models, as a replacement for the standard Ford Type E gearbox.

This Ford Rocket (Type E) short tailcase 4-speed heavy duty synchromesh Quaife gearbox with alloy maincase and gear lever, utilises needle roller bearings to support free running gears.

The layshaft of this gearbox is assembled using separate gears and includes a Quaife mainshaft as a replacement for the standard Ford shaft.

This gearbox comes complete with Quaife gear lever. There is a choise of input shaft lengths, and a large choice of ratios.

This Ford Rocket (Type E) short tailcase 4-speed heavy duty synchromesh Quaife gearbox with alloy maincase and gear lever is available in a choice of input shaft lengths.

The short tailcase option moves the gear lever and prop shaft forwards 10 inches. This helps give improved universal joint angles and is ideal for use in Clubman type sports cars.

This is available with either Rocket or Bullet output spline.
